I am thinking about storing Volant for the winter at West Basin Marina instead of Anchor's Way Marina. Her cradle, which formerly held Tom Jacob's Dandelion, is at Anchor's Way Marina. Does anyone have access to any equipment that can transport the cradle by road from Anchor's Way to West Basin? A wide car trailer that I can pull with my RAM 1500 might work, or maybe a lift truck. Each marina can probably set the cradle on and lift it off if I schedule it in advance.
Dandelion was a heavier and longer boat than Volant, and I think the cradle design and construction will do well for the Beneteau 10R. The cradle is approximately 14 ft. long, 8 ft. wide, 6 ft. tall, and weighs roughly 1500 lbs.
