Work party - April 13

We accomplished a lot of miscellaneous tasks at the boatyard on Saturday, April 13, getting Volant a few steps closer to launch ready.  Karen led the work, as I (Chris) had to go back and forth to the airport managing a critical avionics maintenance service on the airplane.

We had some fun working on the boat, too, and good food and beverages at the yacht club after.

Thanks a million for the help - to Karen, Mary Beth, Claire, Michael, Alex, Bob, and Paul.  You rock!

Here are some action shots...

Thanks for this picture, Michael!  Paul is up at the top of the mast!

Paul volunteered to go up the mast and diagnose the failed masthead light.  Hoisting Paul up with careful safety precautions.

Checking the light halfway up the mast, also out of service.

Paul up at the top of the mast.  He was up there a long time working on the light fixture, with persistence and fearlessness.  What a great job!

Mary Beth cleaned everywhere inside the cabin!  Excellent job!

This is what the water pump impellor looked like.  Umm, there is a missing vane.  Not good.

This is the new impellor, installed.  Thanks Mary Beth and Karen!
