A5 spinnaker

Coming soon to a sailboat near you - a new spinnaker to fill a gap in Volant's sail inventory!  It is an asymmetric fractional A5 design, smaller than maximum allowable size, constructed of strong Bainbridge AirX 900 polyester cloth, designed to hoist to the mast spectacle rings 2.5 ft down from the masthead sheaves.  Quantum Sails is building it.  

Like other kites we have, I like white on top and black on the bottom to make packing in a bag a little more straightforward and accurate.  Hot yellow is in the center to more easily identify it compared to others.  Luminescent light-activated chevrons on the luff make trimming the sail at night easier.   

This will be a useful downwind sail in heavy air races because it will be safe and reliable to control, as well as bulletproof.  It should manage angles as high as a broad reach and as low as a deep run.  It will also make a good practice and delivery sail because of its versatility.
